Available to all Perform.AI customers. Users with the Administrator role can add, edit and remove users.

Summary

User Management is where an Administrator adds people to the organization, gives each of them a role and removes them when they leave. Roles decide which parts of the portal a user can open and what they can change there.

Who it’s for

The administrator of a Perform.AI account, usually in e-commerce operations or IT, who onboards colleagues from customer service, logistics, marketing and analytics and needs each of them to see the right things and nothing more.

Key benefits

  • Access follows the job. Assign a role that matches what the person does, from full administration to view-only customer service.
  • Sign-in on your terms. Users sign in with a password that meets the platform’s rules, or through your company’s identity provider when your organization uses single sign-on.
  • One place to see who has access. The user list shows every user with their role and whether they have signed in yet.

How it works

Roles

Every user has one role. Only Administrators can open User Management.

Signing in

The sign-in page offers a Password tab and an SSO tab. Which tabs work for your users is an organization-level setting. After five failed password attempts the account is locked, and it stays locked until the user completes a password reset, even if the correct password is entered. The password reset form is protected against automated requests. Perform.AI does not force periodic password changes.

User status

Set up in the portal

Go to Settings > Users. Add a user
  1. Select Add user.
  2. Enter the user’s email address and select Continue.
  3. Select a role and select Add.
Change a user’s role
  1. Select the user’s email address in the list.
  2. Choose the new role.
Remove a user
  1. Select the user’s email address in the list.
  2. Select Remove.
The same list shows each user’s role and status, so an Administrator can see who has signed in.

FAQ

Why can’t I see the Users page?

Only users with the Administrator role can open User Management. Ask an Administrator in your organization to change your role or to make the change for you.

Can a user have more than one role?

Each user is assigned one role from the list. Choose the role that covers everything the person needs; Administrator covers all features.

I entered the right password but I am still locked out

After five failed attempts the account stays locked until a password reset is completed, even with the correct password. Use the password reset link on the sign-in page.

Our company uses single sign-on. Do our users need a Perform.AI password?

No. When your organization is configured for SSO, users sign in through your identity provider. If the organization is SSO-only, no password exists for them and the Password tab will not work.

A user shows as Inactive. Is something wrong?

No. Inactive means the user has not signed in yet. The status changes to Active after the first sign-in.
